So, I had a pretty lengthy conversation about pornography with a friend of mine the other day. We actually came up with some pretty good points with the matter...

Pornography or porn is, in its broadest state, the explicit representation of the human body or sexual activity with the goal of sexual arousal and/or sexual relief. As told by Wikipedia.org. I polled a number a people and the majority of males stated that they did. Now the thing is, why would we need to look at this material?

If we all could, we'd be out having sex, right? Well, about 75-80% of us would. I know I wouldn't. This would nullify the reason for pornography, canceling countless men and women's jobs.
About 75% of the people I polled that said they watch porn said they looked at porn more than 2 times a day. Plus, 20% have more than 5 GB of porn on their computer. I'd say that's around the ballpark for an addiction, no? Now, if I asked about 5% of those people to give it up for more than 2 weeks, I don't think they'd do it.

Think about it; say you watched an average of eight full length pornography movies, approximately 1 and a half hours long, a week. You're wasting nine hours of your week on watching two people have sex. What's so great about it?

I know that if you watched someone "do it" for the first time in real life, you wouldn't get off so easily. The people in these movies, most of them however, are scripted actors. It's not all that thrilling when you think about it, to me anyways, but I guess I can't change how people waste their time. So, I'll continue to spend mine on games, and not this mindless dribble.
